Saartjie East Rand Repo Estates cc t/a Saartjie Properties was founded by Saartjie Smit in September 1999.  Saartjie Properties specialize in the selling of bank repossessed properties and also received an award from Absa Bank for selling the most repo properties in 2000 in South Africa. Saartjie Properties are  selling repossessed properties, insolvent estates, deceased estates, auction properties, pre-legal properties, and FNB Quick Sell properties.

In November 2001 Saartjie Properties expanded by becoming a member of RNS. On the RNS system Saartjie Properties have access to almost 2000 properties for sale in the area of Kempton Park.
